Here at Paleo On The Go we care about the quality of the products we use and know it is important to you as well. Quality products are at the heart of the Paleo lifestyle and vital for our health.
It is our goal to be transparent and share as much information with you as possible about our products. We are always looking to improve the quality of our products. We will continue to update this section with any changes.
Healthy protein comes from healthy animals. This means the animals are fed their traditional diets so they do not become sick and need antibiotics. Here at POTG, we take this very seriously and strive to use only proteins from companies that share our philosophy. To provide an autoimmune protol (AIP) and paleo meal delivery that we believe in, we source from these quality providers:
Fort McCoy Ranch
grass fed/grass finished beef
We selected Fort Mccoy Ranch grass-fed beef not only for the incredible flavor, but also the exceptional care put into raising their livestock. The cattle roam freely year-round on lush pastures which produces lean mean meat high in omega 3 fatty acids. Fort Mccoy Ranch never uses growth hormones, antibiotics, corn or any other GMO supplements.
pasture raised elk
The elk from Durham Ranch is always pasture-raised on family farms where they eat a clean diet of natural grass. This produces a mild, tender, and simply delicious meat packed with nutrients such as iron, zinc, and a number of B vitamins including B-12.
chicken and turkey
Family-owned since 1962, the chicken and turkey at Joyce Farms is humanely raised on small farms. The animals are free roaming and never given: pesticides, animal by-products, hormones, or antibiotics.
You can’t find more idyllic farmland than Pennsylvania Amish Country. Freebird’s free roaming chickens are humanely raised on family farms in accordance with Global Animal Partnership - an internationally renowned animal welfare organization.
Lamb roam freely on lush, green pastureland, providing the perfect environment for superior taste.
Blackwing Quality Meats
beef, pork, elk, lamb, beef bones, chicken
We are proud to source our pork, elk, lamb, beef, and beef bones from Blackwing Quality Meats. They live up to the strict standards set by Paleo On The Go, while supporting sustainable farms around the country.

Otto's Cassava Flour is unlike anything your kitchen has ever experienced. It is an all-natural, amazing, grain-free replacement for wheat flour and can be used as a 1:1 substitute in countless recipes. There are no fillers. Only 100% Yuca (Cassava) and water are used to create this single-ingredient wonder. Foods made with Otto's Cassava Flour do not have that familiar dry or "alternative flour" taste or texture that often comes with gluten-free flours. In fact, many users comment that baked goods made with Otto's are indistinguishable from their wheat based counterparts in taste and texture.
Great Lakes Gelatin
Gelatin is obtained from selected pieces of calf and cattle hides, de-mineralized cattle bones (ossein) and porkskin. Contrary to popular belief, hoofs, horns, hair, feathers or any keratin material is not a source of gelatin.

Cooking Oils:We do no use ANY highly processed vegetable oil, industrial seed oils, or any oils that are easily damaged by high heat. We use stable cooking oils that are minimally processed.
When fats are damaged they release free radicals that are dangerous to the body. Vegetable oils and other polyunsaturated oils become rancid when processed and heated at a high temperature. We use traditional, stable cooking oils to reduce exposure to free radicals.
Our cooking oils:
- Olive Oil
- Organic, unrefined, cold pressed coconut oil
- Grass-fed, organic Ghee from OMGhee http://omghee.com/
- Rendered fat from quality animals (lard, tallow, bacon grease)
How We Buy Our Produce:Due to availability and with your budget in mind, we source our produce following the Dirty Dozen/Clean Fifteen list from the Environmental Working Group. This means that we make sure we buy items on the “Dirty Dozen” organic and buy conventional if necessary only from the “Clean Fifteen” list. http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/
Other Products We Use:Red Boat Fish Sauce- all-natural, first press, “extra virgin” Vietnamese fish sauce. It does not contain added water, preservatives or MSG. Made from a two hundred year-old, chemical free, artisanal process.
Coconut Secret Coconut Aminos- a great soy alternative made with certified organic Coconut sap-naturally aged and blended with sun dried, mineral-rich sea salt.
Sea Salt- sea salt includes other trace minerals besides just sodium that are vital for your health. Table salt is pure sodium chloride (along with added iodine) while sea salt contains all the electrolytes: sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium. Culinarily speaking, it also tastes better and you don't need to use as much.
Salmon:In our quest to find the highest quality products, we do not always find exactly what we want. We've been looking for a sustainable and available source of wild caught salmon at a reasonable price to no avail. Until we can find a good source for wild salmon (most likely only in summer months), we've chosen to use the next best alternative we can find, which is farmed raised Scottish Salmon. They follow a specific Code of Good Practice for Scottish Finfish Aquaculture that goes above and beyond basic regulatory practices. We haven't seen their practices first hand, but from our research, it appears they're working to improve the health of their farmed fish and to mimic a the wild diet of salmon while allowing them room to swim.
Any fish on our menu that is WILD will say WILD in the description. The Scottish Salmon is NOT wild. It is, however, a step above the traditional farmed raised fish.
We are cooking limited amounts of this salmon, as we want to offer wild caught salmon when it becomes available.
