Paleo on the Go's Plantain Cakes are a perfect way to start your day. Simple ingredients combine into this delicious egg-free, nut-free, sweetener-free cake. Try them stacked up like pancakes drizzled with real maple syrup, fill with your favorite nut butter and berries, grass fed butter or simply chow down as is. The ripe plantains give them their sweetness along with cinnamon and vanilla. We think you'll love them as much as we do.

*Texture and sweetness may vary based on seasonality and ripeness of the plantains. We do our best to keep this product in stock year round and keep it as consistent as possible.

Ingredients:
  • plantains

  • sea salt
  • apple cider vinegar
  • vanilla

Delicious!
These were so good that I had to re-read the ingredients to make sure there was no added sweetener. There wasn't!

Definitely a Dessert
These are rightly advertised in the dessert section. I'm glad I tried them before I poured maple syrup on them because they are incredibly sweet. They make a better dessert than breakfast. Hard to believe there's no sweetener added! Possibly my favorite of all the things I ordered. Please never stop making these!

love them i order a bunch monthly like around 30 packages...however i wish the thickness consistency would be better...sometimes they are so thin they break apart ...and i mean paper thin that you cansee through them..so please make them a little thicker.. thats my only complaint... i usually melt some berries and pour over the top with cinnamon

Breakfast
I can't eat dinner for breakfast and this is the only breakfast item I could tolerate so far. They are very dry. I wonder if there is maybe an alternative to how I am preparing them. (Microwave or toaster.) I have to use a Tbls of organic pure maple syrup to moisten them enough to get them down but the flavor is good. I am reordering.

Plancake breakfast!
As those of us on the AIP diet know, breakfast is often a leftover version of last night's dinner. And I'm usually cool with that, but five months into AIP I decided to make (real) pancakes for my girlfriend while treating myself to these "plancakes" (as I now call them). Pre-AIP, I was a BIG fan of maple-syrup-drenched waffles, so I was worried that having these plancakes would turn me into an uncontrollable Syrup Monster. Not so! The natural sweetness of the plantains was such that I only put a dab of syrup on each cake. (And they would have been good without syrup as well! But as I said, after five months, I decided it was okay to splurge with a couple tablespoons of syrup.) :) There was some cinnamon flavoring, which was pleasantly mild—not over cinnamon'd in the least. All in all, these plancakes contributed to a highly enjoyable Saturday morning breakfast.

Such a great sweet treat!!
I love these!! I cannot believe there is no added sugar. They are so filling and delicious and taste much more decadent than the ingredient list should. I love having them with the chicken bacon burgers or on the side of eggs. I will be ordering these in bulk next time!

TASTES LIKE BANANA BREAD!
Cinnamony sweet deliciousness! So sweet they don't need syrup, but a little coconut oil or whipped cream on top is delicious. Really a dessert more than breakfast. They spike my blood sugar alone (even with extra fat), so I have to combine with protein.
