Instruction to Prepare in a House of Gluten Eaters
It took me a while to learn to prepare these. The package instructions say to toast them on each side, but when you share a house and appliances with gluten eaters, that is not possible to put the tarts directly into a toaster or directly on the rack of a toaster oven without cross contamination. Trying to toast them on a baking sheet turned the tarts into a rubbery mess. Fortunately, I figured out another way after much experimentation. Baked at 350 degrees in a toaster oven on a dedicated GF pan for 15 minutes works quite well, and the pastry crisps up nicely. They are quite nice once baked properly, but POTG really needs to provide instructions for those of us who share appliances with gluten eaters (who pay no attention to cross contamination).
