What is the Paleo Diet?Eating “paleo” simply means turning the clock back to a time when food was a “WYSIWYE” proposition (what you see is what you eat); food was, by definition, pure, unadulterated, and organic. Our genetics for health were built based on what was available for the majority of human history. In today's world, this means foods like grass-fed beef, free-range poultry, free range eggs, wild caught fish, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. The paleo diet is simply our best attempt using foods available today to mimic what our hunter, gatherer ancestors ate.
What is included in Paleo on the Go meals:Grass-fed beef and bison, pork, duck, venison, lamb, free-range chicken, turkey, organic vegetables and fruits, herbs and spices, coconut oil, coconut aminos, coconut milk, coconut flour, arrowroot, clarified butter (ghee), almonds, cashews, pecans.
What Paleo on the Go excludes:Soy, wheat, barley, rye, corn, sugar, preservatives, rice, dairy, white potatoes, legumes, vegetable oils, flour

Dry Aged Beef:Dry aging involves hanging the beef in a cooler for several weeks near freezing temperature to allow moisture to evaporate from the muscle. This concentrates and saturates the beef flavor and allows the natural beef enzymes to help break down the connective tissue making the beef more tender. Only high grades of beef can be dry aged as the process requires an evenly distributed fat content - something that is inherent in grass fed beef. You rarely find aged beef outside of high-end steak houses or upscale butcher shops.
Re-heating instructions:For stove top heating (recommended): For best results, thaw frozen meal overnight in your refrigerator. Then simply put the vacuum sealed bags directly in simmering water until reheated to 165 degrees which will take 5 to 7 minutes. Our meals are fully cooked but we recommend reheating to a safe temperature before eating. If you prefer to remove the food from the vacuum sealed bags you can heat to your Healthy Pre-Made Meals in a microwave, in a pan on the stove, or in the oven.
